With Wines from Sicily, Ron Fenolio has launched the new Fifth-Thursday Wine Tasting Series. This first presentation focuses on the wines of Southern Italy (Sicily, Puglia, Campagnia); Nero d’Avola, Negroamaro, Primitivo and Rosso d’Etna.
As requested by participants in Ron Fenolio’s wine tasting at the SFIAC luncheon on March 3, 2022, below is the list of the wines that were sampled. You can see the video of that presentation as well as the presentation on the region of Sardinia in the video archive for members. The talks are organized by year.
Ron Fenolio, Cenacolista and a Club Past President, is a fourth-generation winemaker and the founder and owner of Veedercrest Estates. His wines have been honored nationally and internationally, and he is also a significant wine importer. Ron is the Chair of the 350-winery Family Winemakers of California and was recently awarded the Antonin Careme Medal by the American Culinary Federation.
