Traditional retail is the basic “bricks and mortar” form of business. Non-traditional or “modern” retail includes online retailing, direct marketing, automatic vending and many more variations. Our guest speaker, Robert Heggie, will discuss various aspects of non-traditional retailing (NTR).
Robert Heggie was raised in British Columbia, studied at Simon Fraser University on a full scholarship for bagpipes. He completed his studies at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), earning CET in civil and structural engineering. However, Robert found his true profession in retailing. He went on to found HK Retail Concepts / Non-Traditional Retail, Inc. (NTR) consulting companies focused on third party programs with major retailers domestically and internationally.
