Italians: Who are we?–Lawrence Tarrtaglino

Everyone has a preconceived idea of who we are. In his talk, Lawrence Tartaglino presents a new, revealing look into the life and background of the Italian people. He uncovers, among other things, who truly invented the telephone, who inspired Thomas Jefferson to pen the words “All Men Are Created Equal,” who created many of the memorable monuments and sculptures in America, and who invented the Big Mac.

Lawrence Tartaglino received his bachelor’s and MBA degrees from San Jose State University. He worked in management for a multinational pharmaceutical company, managed a family-held private corporation, and taught accounting and finance at a California community college. Since retiring, he has enjoyed developing talks and speaking on subjects including business, maritime history, and his Italian heritage. His casual, engaging style has gained him the reputation as a knowledgeable speaker and an exceptional storyteller. He has traveled with Princess, Regent, and Oceania Cruise Lines as an Enrichment Speaker.
