The San Francisco Symphony has reached its 100th anniversary this year. Larry Rothe, who has been editor of the San Francisco Symphony’s program book for many years, has recently written a history of the Symphony: Music for a City, Music for the World. Joe Evans, Symphony Archivist, is curator of the exhibit Music for a City, Music for the World: 100 Years with the San Francisco Symphony, now on display in the Jewett Gallery of the San Francisco Main Library. Together they will discuss their work and present highlights of the Symphony's colorful course to its 100th birthday.
