Bo Links is a lifelong resident of the City & County of San Francisco. He is a 1967 graduate of George Washington High School, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UC Berkeley (1971) and UCLA Law School (1974). Since then, Mr. Links has maintained an active general litigation and legal counseling practice for in San Francisco. Needless to say, he is a brilliant and accomplished lawyer who has distinguished himself in court and with the bar over the past 35-plus years.

Aside from law, he has long been an active golfer and golf historian. He has written two golf books, Follow the Wind (1995) and Riverbank Tweed & Roadmap Jenkins: Tales From the Caddie Yard (2001), both published by Simon & Schuster. In addition, he serves pro bono as a speaker for the United States Golf Association on legal issues affecting the game of golf and as the volunteer historian for the City's golf courses. He was active in the project to renovate and restore Harding Park and has authored two acclaimed essays: one, titled "Return to Glory" (2005) covers the epic battle between Tiger Woods and John Daly during the AmEx World Golf Championship event at Harding Park; and "More Than A Game"(2009) which recounts the significance of the Presidents Cup and the creation of a First Tee facility at an inner-city middle school.

Bo’s latest local golf endeavor is his leadership role in co-founding the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance (http://www.sfpublicgolf.com) and his tireless effort to save Sharp Park, the classic Alister MacKenzie course located in Pacifica. The course has been under attack by anti-golf activists, but Mr. Links and the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance are working to secure funding for an environmentally sensitive restoration that will restore the timeless MacKenzie features so that Sharp Park can continue to be "The Poor Man's Pebble Beach" for generations to come.
